As lockdown restrictions decrease, opportunities for al fresco dining increase, and Aldi has just what any outdoor eating fan needs for a very competitive price.

The bargain-rich supermarket is bringing back its discount pizza oven to shop shelves as of Friday 2 April, perfect for entertaining five other guests – or another household – in an outdoor setting.

For just £40, you could be serving up artisan pizzas and indulging in your dream topping combinations.

The handy foodie gadget sold out last time it was made available through Aldi, and as demand for such outdoor experiences has only grown, it’s likely to be the subject of even more attention this time around.

The Gardenline BBQ Pizza Oven is priced at £39.99, and rather than the large, brick-built ovens you’ve seen down the local trattoria, this one attaches directly to your barbecue, utilising the coals (though gas BBQs are game too) to cook your pizza.

It can comfortably accommodate up to 12-inches of dough, will cook your pizza in just 10 minutes, and its easy to clean stainless steel interior makes it perfect for repeat uses.

"Treat yourself to an alternative to the usual BBQ food as the weather warms up with this Gardenline BBQ Pizza Oven.” say the product description. "This fabulous bit of kit will help you provide a sharing favourite for everyone to enjoy. What toppings will you choose?"

With two carry handles it’s easily transportable too. So wherever you take your BBQ, sourdough-based grub can follow.

It’s being sold online only from 2 April while stocks last. You’ll be able to order yours here when stocks are replenished.
