With the easing of some social gathering restrictions, households are preparing to meet up outside over the Easter holidays.

People can now meet in groups of six or between two households under the government’s phased easing of lockdown rules, amid the Covid pandemic.

The latest relaxation of restrictions allows for small and socially distanced meet-ups between friends and family in private gardens and other outdoor spaces.

It means many fridges and freezers are being stocked as plans for picnics and barbecues are hurriedly made, with the promise of going ahead come rain or shine.
