Celebrating good news with Richard Kendall, the home of homes in Yorkshire

This property company knows home is where the heart is – celebrating good news and community partnerships with Richard Kendall

As a family-run business, Richard Kendall Estate Agents is all about community, and celebrating success.

That doesn’t just mean matching home owners with their dream properties every day, it’s about the team playing a vital role the communities they serve around Yorkshire. And in a monthly round-up of good news, Richard Kendall is shouting out success, and championing the team members who pick up the phone or help you view houses in the area.

Sponsorship and financial support

The firm likes to put its money where its mouth is. Once again, it sponsored the Horbury Show and the Ossett Gala this year. It also sponsors one of the young players for Normanton Knight ARLFC.

Brother and sister owners Claire and Simon Kendall also love to throw their all into causes they support. Claire is heavily involved at Wakefield Hospice, where she is a trustee. She has also helped out in the hospice’s donations warehouse, with a hands-on approach to making a difference.

Simon is an athlete and loves to run – he was team leader earlier this year when 19 runners in Team RK took part in the Great North Run, raising over £7,000 from that event alone. The firm continues to support MY Hospital Charity in an ongoing capacity. Personally, Simon celebrated his 6th star medal for the Abbott World Marathon Majors in Tokyo earlier in the year.

Celebrating milestones and success

The business was thrilled to win the British Property Awards for Horbury Sales, and says every single member of staff played their part in delivering that success.

But there have been other milestones in the Richard Kendall offices to toast, including wedding bells in the offing for a number of staff.

David Savage, Karen Dawson, Carol Rogers and Allison Harbottle were all made Associate Directors – congratulations on the promotions!

Celebrating their long service awards were Andrew Leeson, Lucy Harrison and Elizabeth Cooke, who each clocked up 10 years, David Savage marked 20 years and it was a jubilee 25 years for Carol Rogers.

Looking to the future

Claire Kendall said: “Every moment of every working day we celebrate with families when they get the keys to their new home – we are so lucky to be part of these joyful moments, so we thought we would share our own in-house successes too.”
