Buck and Bamford both ease to victory

Richard Buck (City of York) was in winning form for Yorkshire on the first day of the Inter Counties Championships at Bedford.

After a comfortable victory in his 400m heat, Buck sped to an easy triumph in the final in a time of 46.25secs.

An injury to Richard Strachan (Trafford) prevented a Yorkshire clean sweep.
