Roundhegians, as expected, went a step nearer the title with a 47-14 win at bottom-placed Garforth.

Hegians scored in the opening minute when winger Adrian Hogg sprinted over. Chris Clarkson on the other wing scored two, and there were others for flanker Kyle Sutcliffe, stand-off Chris Pratt and centres Tim Smith and Liam Rollinson. Hogg converted three as well as landing two penalties.

Second-placed Old Rishworthians continued their push for promotion with an unexpectedly decisive 48-0 home victory over Thornensians, who have slipped one place to fifth.

No 8 James Clarke scored a hat-trick of tries for Rishworthians, while left winger Nick Faulkner added two and there were others from centre Chris Flanagan and flanker Jioti Bakoso. Jamie Bloem kicked a penalty and four conversions, and Aaron Canning converted another.

Aireborough salvaged a 10-10 draw at Old Modernians.
