Another crucial basement battle saw John Francas hit 80 in Adel's 188-6 before Marvin Shires (6-14) and Nigel Stubbs (3-15) skittle Rawdon for 31.

With Pool going down by six wickets at Green Lane, despite a half-century from Brad Loveluck and 48 from Lewis Boulton, the bottom four reads North Leeds 18pts, Adel 33, Pool 33 and Rawdon 36 with three games to go.

Despite that win, which saw Yasser Ali hit 65, third-placed Green Lane know they cannot take the title because they trail Burley by 19 points after the leaders beat Collingham by nine wickets with Charlie Davy hitting an unbeaten half-century.

But Beckwithshaw have not given up the race to defend their title and 70 from John Inglis helped them past Thackley's 114 in which Stuart Hudson took 5-22 and Richard Pearson 3-19 on his final appearance before emigrating to Australia.
