Cricket latest: Yorkshire chase competitive Derbyshire target

YORKSHIRE will have to score 246 to beat Derbyshire in their CB40 match at Headingley Carnegie, writes Chris Waters.

The visitors made 245-8 after winning the toss, which looks to be a competitive total.

Wes Durston top-scored with 95 from 99 balls with seven fours, while Wayne Madsen made 66 from 41 balls with five fours and two sixes.

Rich Pyrah returned 3-41, Ryan Sidebottom and Adil Rashid claiming two wickets apiece.

It was a mixed performance by the Yorkshire bowlers, who found life difficult in the blustery conditions.

But the home team fielded well and are more than capable of knocking off the runs.
