Goddard and Hamilton break 85-year record

JCT 600 Bradford

East Bierley's second-wicket pair of Lee Goddard and Gavin Hamilton broke a league record that had stood for 85 years with an unbroken partnership of 295 as their side beat Saltaire by 168 runs.

The previous best of 270 was set by Bingley's H Briggs (125no) and H Firth (142) back in 1925, but Derbyshire's Goddard (155no) and Scotland captain Hamilton (127no) beat it with some style as they helped East Bierley to a total of 309-1.
