Rochemback was detained after police raided a fight night in Palmeira das Missoes in Rio Grande do Sul and confiscated 89 roosters along with the equivalent of £24,000 in cash.

Another 146 people were detained and 57 were charged.

Animal fighting is banned in Brazil. It is the second time Rochemback has fallen foul of the authorities.
