Alex Bruce seeks fans' assistance as Rotherham United's rough times return
SO far in 2026, Rotherham United have won three matches on the road in 18 attempts, losing 13 times.
Their record on home soil in all competitions bears similarities, sadly.
In 19 games this calendar year at home, the Millers have won just three times and lost on 10 occasions.
A number of defeats, both home and away, arrived during the wretched second half of 2025-26 when the Millers looked like relegation certainties and so it proved.

Few expected a quick fix when Alex Bruce arrived at the club in late June; the young Millers chief was assigned not just with building a new-look side and squad, but also with changing the playing culture.
A few weeks back, there was some promise, whisper it gently. But a hard October thus far- incorporating three pretty painful defeats along the way – has dented that among a fanbase for whom the term 'long-suffering' is apposite.
The Millers find themselves in 20th in the League Two table, amid talk that their 'bottoming out' process may not yet be over.
Bruce said: “Listen, I knew when I took it that it was going to be a tough job.

“I was under no illusion whatsoever that I was just going to come in, wave a magic wand and go: 'Right, I'm going to turn momentum in our favour and we'll win every game and hammer every team.'
“I believe momentum in sport is a big thing, and we haven't had a good three years here.
“My message to the supporters is: 'We're doing everything we can to shift the momentum, and I need your help with that.”
