Andy Butler takes charge as Doncaster Rovers boss Darren Moore self-isolates

SENIOR professional Andy Butler will take temporary charge of Doncaster Rovers' FA Cup tie at FC United of Manchester on Saturday following the news that Darren Moore and his coaching staff are required to self-isolate after being in contact with a positive COVID-19 case

Rovers chief Moore and his staff have not shown any symptoms, but will self-isolate in line with government guidance on Covid-19.

No Doncaster players were in direct contact with the person who tested positive and are not required to self-isolate.

Butler, who has coaching experience with Doncaster Belles, was due to oversee training on Friday ahead of Saturday's televised game across the Pennines, which kicks off at 5.30pm.

The FA and EFL have been consulted on the protocols and we are in communication with FC United of Manchester.

Butler will also be in charge when Rovers host Wolverhampton Wanderers U21s in the EFL Trophy.
