Barnsley 0 Charlton 6: Nine-man Tykes suffer at Oakwell

Barnsley had two players sent off as they crashed to a six-goal hammering at Oakwell against Charlton.

EXPERIENCED campaigners Stephen Foster and Bobby Hassell were again paired in the heart of the Barnsley defence as David Flitcroft’s side attempted to keep clear of the drop zone against a Charlton side who already look safe. Flitcroft made two changes with Chris Dagnall replacing Marlon Harewood up front and Tomasz Cwyka in midfield for Jim O’Brien as the Reds attempted to build on their dramatic 1-1 draw at champions-elect Cardiff City.

Barnsley were off the pace in the first half and Bradley Pritchard soon put Charlton ahead after an initial save by Luke Steele.
