Barnsley FC confirm exit of out-of-contract quartet

BARNSLEY have announced their retained list - with the quartet of Kenny Dougall, Sami Radlinger, Dani Pinillos and Mamadou Thiam to leave at the end of this month.

The Reds have been in discussions with Australian midfielder Dougall and keeper Radlinger - who has made 18 appearances for this club this term - about agreeing to play out the remainder of the 2019-20 campaign, which ends on July 22.

But the out-of-contract pair have elected to depart after the conclusion of their contracts on June 30 when they become free agents.

Barnsley announced in May that captain Alex Mowatt will remain at Oakwell for at least another season after club took up a one-year option in the midfielder's contract.

Contract talks on an extended deal are expected to resume shortly following the club's recent return to competitive action.

Rudi Pache and Romal Palmer - who made his senior debut at the weekend - recently put pen to paper on new deals.
