Barnsley FC player ratings: A trio of high marks in dramatic win against Blackpool
HERE are the Barnsley player ratings from Wednesday night’s League One home game against Blackpool at Oakwell.
Ravenhill: Lucky with a loose clearance in first half, which hit a Blackpool player and flew just wide. Handling decent, kicking a bit scratchy at times. 6
Noslin: Did not have the best first half. Better when Richards came on down the right. 6
O’Riordan: A good test for him and Gale against senior duo Charles and Bloxham. 6

Gale: Long passing awry at times, but happy to step out and take responsibility. Did make a vital second-half clearance close to the line. 7
Kay: Came up against a wily operator in Bowler. Booked. 6
Bland: Lacked composure by blazing over a first-half chance. Erred for Blackpool leveller. 6
McGeehan: The calming force and grew into the game. Another goal. 7

Alker: One early mistake. Switched sides midway through half. A work in progress. 5
Kelly: Involved in some good stuff. You sensed Blackpool were wary. Strong stuff. 8
Cleary: After all the deadline-day brouhaha, Cleary was back to normality and clearly not sulking. Much better on left after starting on right. 8
Kirk. Denied a first Oakwell goal by a goalline Earl clearance, although maybe should have scored. 5
Substitutes: Farrell (Kirk HT) 6.
Richards (Alker HT). Superb contribution. And the winner. 8.
Connell (Bland 72) 6.
Larkeche (Noslin 81)
Not used: Flavell, Taylor, Saunders.
