Barnsley delivered a ruthless performance as they eased into the second round of the FA Cup at Aldershot Town’s expense.
There was a clear gulf in class between the third-tier hosts and fifth-tier visitors, who were operating at wildly contrasting levels.
Cameron McGeehan grabbed a hat-trick, Vimal Yoganathan notched a brace and Reyes Cleary and Rylan Brownlie found the target in the 7-2 win, while Aldershot’s consolations were scored by Annisuis Lewis.
