Barnsley sign Isaac Christie-Davies after youngster released by Liverpool
The 22-year-old Welsh and English youth international was released by the Merseysiders this summer, and Championship Barnsley have moved in to pick him up on a three-year deal with an extra year's option.
If his pedigree impressed Barnsley, seeing Gerhard Sturber's side on television excited Christe-Davies.

He was then loaned to Belgian side Cercle Brugge for the second half of the season, scoring on his debut, a friendly against Augsburg, but not hampered by injury, he did not make a competitive appearance.
“I’m really pleased to be here," said Christie-Davies. "As soon as I heard of the interest, I wanted to get it done.
“I watched a lot of Barnsley from last season and I was really impressed with the high-pressing style and having spoken to the gaffer, I think I’ll fit into his system.

Before his time at Liverpool, Christie-Davies was at Chelsea, where he won the FA Youth Cup and made eight Football League Trophy appearances.
The Brighton-born player represented England at under-16 and -17 level, but switched allegiances to Wales Under-21s.
