Harry Pritchard produced a stunning strike three minutes before half time to give City the lead, which they held onto for the remainder of the contest to win for the first time since November 7.

The result moves the Bantams four points clear of the relegation places as they seek a replacement for Stuart McCall who was relieved of his duties last week.

It is now four points from six for joint caretaker managers Conor Sellars and Mark Trueman as Bradford look to recover from a disappointing start to the season.

Callum Cooke almost doubled the lead in the second half but his effort struck the post before Richard O'Donnell made a fine stop to deny Jon Ironside and help the Bantams secure all three points.
