Bradford City boss leaves players waiting

BRADFORD CITY manager Simon Grayson will only finalise a decision on his starting line-up for Thursday night's televised home game with promotion-chasing League One rivals Shrewsbury Town on the afternoon of the game.

Several players are carrying knocks and will be assessed - including Romain Vincelot, who had stitches inserted into a knee wound in Saturday’s atrocious 5-0 hammering at Blackpool.

All those involved in the Bantams’ shameful performance at Bloomfield Road are also likely to be suffering from a few bruised egos after Grayson slammed their collective display as ‘pathetic and embarrassing” after pulling no punches in his verdict on a wretched display at one of his former clubs.

Grayson, likely to make several changes to his starting line-up said: “Some have not even trained because of a few knocks.

“Whoever goes out, whether you are 18, 25 or 38, you have to do the bare requirements of working hard for the shirt and putting in a performance.

“Players will be getting picked probably from how they have reacted from Saturday’s game on the training pitch, rather than what they have done previously.”
