League One is a division regularly cited when the case for the English football pyramid being the best in the world is made.
It may be far removed from the glitz and glamour of the Premier League but week after week, fans turn out in their numbers to back their clubs.
As is the case in every league, the average attendance differs based on the ground. League One is home to minnows punching well above their weight as well as some titans of the game that have fallen down the pyramid.
The third tier also plays host to five Yorkshire clubs - Bradford City, Huddersfield Town, Barnsley, Doncaster Rovers and Rotherham United.
All of the aforementioned clubs have endured trying times in recent years, yet have had their fans stick by them.
Here is a ranking of every League One club’s average home attendance from lowest to highest, courtesy of Transfermarkt data.
