Bradford City v Mansfield Town: Josh Neufville on why football is different 'up north'
JOSH NEUFVILLE has been at Bradford City long enough to know that pressure comes with the territory.
Not just in terms of winning either, but how you apply yourselves on the pitch, especially in home games.
After previously playing all his career down south at the likes of Luton and AFC Wimbledon, he can vouch for the difference.
He said: "I'd say it's completely different (to Wimbledon). That's more of a fan-owned club.

"I think also as well as being ‘up north’, there's a different type of pressure I think fans put on their clubs compared to down south. Obviously as well, playing for Bradford is totally different.
"As a player, you kind of go one of two ways. You have to relish it or you don't. It's just something I like playing in front of.
"I think there's a bigger demand on kind of pressing, getting the ball up the pitch quicker and winning games of football as well. I think if you go down south, you can kind of get away with playing more all out the back.
"I don't think fans are as aggressive on the sidelines in terms of winning and results. And then even putting pressure on the opposition.

"I think if you watch a lot of Yorkshire games, the ball gets put up to the striker so quickly, quicker than you would see down south.
"And it's a more aggressive atmosphere around stadiums."
There was a bit of grumpiness from some fans at the end of Tuesday's unlucky 2-1 home loss to Cambridge United, City's second league loss on the spin. It last happened in late January.
Neufville added: "It's not a crisis or anything, I think it's just kind of understanding where we are. Especially looking at the good things.
"There's a lot of positives to take from the game and a lot of things we can build upon."
