The Bantams host Tranmere Rovers tonight, looking for a response after losing their last two games and picking up four points from the last 12 on offer.

City are 13th in the table but only four points separate them and seventh-placed Newport County and when asked if tonight’s fixture is a must-win game, joint-manager Conor Sellars responded: “You could say so, nobody wants to win at the minute it seems.

“There are a lot of strange results happening, we have less games until the end of the season but we are no further away despite the past two results.

“Everybody wants to win games and get into the play-offs. Ultimately, at this moment in time, it just doesn’t seem to be falling for us. That happens to every team in the league at some point.

“We are just looking to bounce back.”

With five games remaining, Bradford are set to be bolstered by the return of midfielder Callum Cooke, who has missed the last 10 matches with a hip injury.

City have picked up just 11 points since his absence.

“It will be nice to have him involved again,” added Sellars.

“He has done really well for us, has Callum. He is certainly an important player.

“The safest way is to build him up in the first game, we will make sure when he comes on he will be able to deal with the intensity and the tempo.”
