Bantams defender signs new deal

Rory McArdle has signed a new three-year deal with League One side Bradford City.

The Northern Ireland international, who has made 99 appearances since joining City in 2012, said: “Having spoken to the manager already this summer, I am excited about the future for the club and I want to be a part of it.

“The progress the club has made in the two years that I’ve been here already has been very impressive.”

Hull City will warm up for their debut in the Europa League qualifiers by taking on York City and Barnsley.

The FA Cup runners-up will travel to Bootham Crescent on Wednesday, July 23 and Oakwell the following Saturday.

Hull will then be involved in Europa League qualifying action on July 31.

Steve Bruce’s men will also take on North Ferriby United and Harrogate Town, both on Monday, July 21, with the Premier League club dividing their squad to cover both games.
