The 20-year-old completed his move this morning after passing a medical at Valley Parade.

James started his career at Hartlepool United and became their youngest ever league goalscorer before moving to Peterborough in a £500,000 deal last August.

He scored just twice in 34 appearances during a difficult first term at London Road.

Bradford are believed to have paid a loan fee to bring him to Yorkshire and the deal does not include a recall clause.

James told the club’s official website: “I knew I probably would have to go out on loan from Peterborough so I was pleased when I heard of Bradford’s interest. They’re a huge club.

“I’m hoping I can use this loan period to show people what I can do. That means getting a few goals and a few assists.”
