Aden Flint gave the hosts an early advantage with a headed goal, rising unmarked to meet Luke Freeman’s free-kick and guide it home.

But Billy Clarke equalised for the Bantams after 20 minutes. Mark Yeates delivered a free-kick into the box where it was nodded in by Clarke.

The Bantams went close to taking the lead minutes later but Clarke and Andy Halliday both struck the woodwork in quick succession.

Flint grabbed his and the Robins’ second goal with just eight minutes on the clock by punishing a mistake from goalkeeper Jordan Pickford
