Bradford City grabbed their first away win of the season with a 1-0 victory over Gillingham in League One.

Gary Jones scored direct from a corner as Bradford extended Gillingham’s winless run, and left the hosts at the bottom of the table.

Jones put the Bantams in front when his corner squeezed in at the front post.

Cody McDonald squandered Gillingham’s best chance when he blazed over.

The Bantams had further chances to increase their advantage. James Hanson saw his close-range header flash wide of the goal.
