JOINT chairman Mark Lawn marked Bradford City’s derby victory over Leeds United by taking part in the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge.

Following the League One club’s 2-1 triumph, Lawn - nominated for the challenge by manager Phil Parkinson - donned a ‘Bantams’ onesie and strode on to the Valley Parade pitch.

He then held his nerve as a bucket of ice cold water was poured over his head in the centre circle, 20 or so minutes after the game had taken place.

After completing the challenge, Lawn nominated fellow joint chairman Julian Rhodes, BBC Look North presenter Harry Gration and former City manager Stuart McCall to follow suit in the future.

The ice bucket challenge aims to raise awareness about the disease and to help raise funds to try and find ways to treat it.

ALS or Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis is a neurodegenerative disease that can eventually affect and/or disable nearly all bodily functions, including muscle and joint movement.
