CARLOS CORBERAN is under no illusions about the arduous challenge facing his Huddersfield Town side when they travel to Rotherham United on Saturday afternoon.

Only one point separates the Yorkshire rivals after three league games with both clubs determined to enter the international break on a high.

The Terriers head coach has studied the Millers’ start to the season in depth and paid tribute to their defensive solidity.

Rotherham have conceded just twice in three outings and Corberan expects tomorrow’s encounter to prove “very demanding” for his players.

“Usually when I prepare for games, I watch three or four matches or all the games a team has played so far,” said Corberan.

“At the same time I like to watch the chances which the team concede in their games.

“I watched one game where Rotherham didn’t concede very many chances.

“They are a very difficult team and have been working with the same coach for a number of years. They have been in the Championship before and are fighting for each ball and each point. The game is going to be very tough and very demanding for us.”

Town picked up their first win of the Spaniard’s reign last week when they recorded a 1-0 win over Nottingham Forest. The triumph came after three consecutive defeats but Corberan wants his players to head into Saturday’s contest with the same mentality they displayed against Forest.

He added: “It is very important to have the first win because the three points for us were key. We need to have the same feeling we had before Nottingham Forest. We have to feel ambitious.

“There is no reason for us to not be. We need to face this game with the same determination, spirit and mentality.”
