The former Norwich City player came off at half-time in Saturday's excellent 3-0 win at Millwall - after suffering an injury just before the break. He will definitely miss Tuesday night's home game with Bristol City.

Meanwhile, Corberan reports positive developments surrounding Danny Ward, who was due to train with the first team for the first time today with the forward in the final stages of his recovery from a hamstring injury.

Ward is yet to feature in the league for Town after re-joining the club in the summer, with his sole appearance coming in the EFL Cup tie with Rochdale.

On the situation with Pritchard and Ward, Corberan said: "Pritchard suffered one injury in the first half and he injured his ankle. He is going for a scan today and we will know what is the result of the scan (later). Hopefully, it is something that is not very dangerous.

"He was feeling a little bit of improvement and the ankle does not have a lot of inflammation, so this is a reason to be positive. But we need to see the scan and by late today, we will know the result.

"With Danny Ward, he is going to start in training. Today, we have the option for him that he can start in the first training (session) with the group. So that is very positive.

"With Danny, we want to use the international break to make him ready to help the team.

"It is very positive because for players with long-term injuries, they are always difficult to manage. He has experience as a player and knows we need to manage the injury. But of course, when the injury is taking more time than one player can expect, it is a hard time for the player.

"But now, he is starting to see towards the light as he is the last part of his recovery and is training with the group, so that is very positive."

Recent signing Alex Vallejo has started training with the first-team squad after finishing his isolation period following his arrival from Spain.

Corberan said: "Of course, it has been different for him. But with Alex, we know he will need a little bit of time to be ready and it is not the same following your programme when you are two weeks in a hotel."
