Carlos Corberan on why Huddersfield Town will keep on improving

HUDDERSFIELD TOWN head coach Carlos Corberan has stressed that he is not currently interested in looking at the Championship league table, with his only concern being to continue to get the best out of his players after his side's 1-0 victory over Derby County.

A fine team goal early in the second half from Juninho Bacuna extended Huddersfield's encouraging unbeaten sequence to four games as they took their points tally to ten from the last 12 matches to move up to eighth place in the table.

The goal was just reward for a strong second half from Town, who showed further signs of their development under the former Leeds United coach.

Corberan said: "It is important that we got Bacuna higher up the pitch because we know that he is a player who can finish in attack and we wanted the option of him arriving higher up the pitch.

"My ambition is to see us fighting for the result in every game. I don't look at the table and my only thinking is to prepare the game for every game which is very tough. I am happy when I am watching the effort of the players.

"I am happy about the performance of the players. I am happy for the players that we have the three points. It is a reward for their efforts and I am glad that had something positive."

"It was very tough and in the first half, we made some mistakes with the pressing. We tried to improve a little bit.

"We are helping the team on the training pitch and now we need to look at the video and see if we can get better as we don't have a lot of time together on the training pitch with so many games.

"Every game is going to be tight and going to be a challenge. I was expecting this type of challenge.

"We will analyse the game and it's always better to analyse with the three points but we need to keep improving."
