Woodrow's ice-cool penalty with the last kick of the game secured a dramatic point in Saturday's 2-2 draw with Bristol City when he scored his third goal of the season and second from the spot for Barnsley, whose are currently being led by caretaker head coach Adam Murray.

Ahead of the midweek programme of action in the second tier, the Reds reside in the bottom three with just two points from five games, but Woodrow - who signed a contract extension on Friday - says that confidence have not been dented, with their weekend display alluding to that alongside their support for Murray.

Woodrow, who believes that the deadline-day additions of Herbie Kane and Matty James will also serve as a timely boost, said: "It is a strange time losing a manager. Gerhard (Struber) was a good manager and did well for us.

"But now we are focused on playing well for Muz, who took over previously. We like him and he is a good coach and a good man and the performance showed that the lads are behind him and working hard and hopefully will give him good results.

On his thoughts regarding the permanent replacement for Struber, who recently joined New York Red Bulls, he added: "That is down to the club whether they make. Whoever is in charge, we have a duty to play well. At the minute, Muz is in charge and our performance showed we are backing Muz and doing our best for him.

"I thought we played really well and deserved a draw at least (on Saturday). They scored two dfelections really and Solly (Michael Sollbauer) went up and won the header and was really brave and won the penalty for us in the end.

"We played well and got a point and have momentum and will go to Stoke fully prepared and ready for a difficult game.

"We have bought good players in and we know Herbie from playing against him at Doncaster and Hull and he is a great addition and both players are great signings and we are looking forward to playing with them."
