Charge follows Holloway's rant over red cards

BLACKPOOL manager Ian Holloway has been charged with improper conduct by the Football Association following last weekend's FA Cup defeat against Ipswich Town.

The Seasiders finished the third-round tie with nine men after Ian Evatt and Rob Edwards were dismissed by referee Eddie Ilderton.

Holloway stripped off his jacket and threw it to the ground in front of the dug-out when his second player was sent off, and after being sent to the stands he shouted his disapproval at the refereeing during the match.

Holloway has until January 13 to respond to the charge.
