Cotterill departs Sheffield United for Swansea

WINGER David Cotterill has completed a permanent move from Sheffield United to Swansea after the two clubs agreed a £600,000 deal for the Wales international.

Cotterill initially joined the Swans on loan at the end of November and has made five appearances for Paulo Sousa's Championship high-flyers, scoring his first goal in Saturday's FA Cup defeat at Leicester.

The 22-year-old, for whom Wigan paid 2m to Bristol City in August 2006, joined the Blades for an undisclosed fee after a loan spell at Bramall Lane in July 2008 but failed to hold down a regular place in Kevin Blackwell's side.
