Darrell Clarke's transfer window analysis and whether Barnsley have any plans to enter free agent market
Barnsley made two much-needed deadline-day signings in the attacking department, bringing in forwards Davis Keillor-Dunn and Stephen Humphrys.
Keillor-Dunn, who has arrived for a sizeable six-figure-fee from Mansfield Town, will come immediately in the reckoning for Saturday’s home game with Bristol Rovers. Humphrys, who has been without a club this summer, is currently playing catch-up with his fitness.

“The squad is full now until the January window and it’s all about a couple of new players coming in and we had quite a few signings (earlier) in the summer.
"Now, it’s how quickly myself and the coaching staff can connect it all together. DKD is a good signing with a good pedigree and so is Humphrys, so we are looking forward to working with both of those and adding those to the group and getting those connections right on the pitch.
"I think there’s always things you can look at to do better; all things.

We’ve reviewed that, me and Mladen (Sormaz – sporting director) have and we’ll review it moving forward as well as recruitment is an ongoing process.
"Sometimes, it can take head coaches two or three windows to sort out and eventually say ‘this is my squad of players.’ We’ve got some talented players and now it’s up to myself and my staff to make them better and get them connected on the pitch.”

Clarke confirmed that Barnsley have an no immediate plans to enter the free agent market.
He added: "We’ll always have an eye on everything. You have got to, at a professional football club and always be mindful there’s one or two things you look at if it’s the right player and fit. As things stand, at the minute, I’m happy.”

"Max has been scanned and that’s positive news. It’s nothing too serious and hopefully he won’t be out too long,” Clarke continued.
