Rovers boss Ferguson said: “We are giving games we shouldn’t be losing away, I don’t think my goalkeeper has had too much to do at all. We are giving too many sloppy goals away.
“Walsall have not had to work for either goal, it was too easy for them.
“With the opportunities we had in the first half, we needed to take them.

“It is a feeling of deja vu and it has to stop. We have to get back to the consistency we were showing when we had real momentum about us.”
On teenager Mandeville, Ferguson added: “He did well when he came on, he’s done that a couple of times now.
“With kids, you get no fear and he wanted the ball. Middleton made a couple of mistakes, but at least he was brave.”
