Doncaster Rovers boss Grant McCann handed quadruple injury boost ahead of Sheffield Wednesday derby
DONCASTER Rovers manager Grant McCann says that the League One club are starting to see 'some light at the end of the tunnel' on the injury front - following a quadruple boost ahead of Saturday's derby with Sheffield Wednesday at the Club Doncaster Sports Village.
Rovers' absentee count was in double figures for Tuesday night's 2-0 home reverse to high-flying Stockport County, which saw McCann's side suffer a second successive league defeat to drop to sixth-from-bottom in the table.
Providing a fillip, McCann confirmed that key full-backs Jamie Sterry and Jack Senior should be back in contention for the Owls clash.
Sterry has been out since injuring a hamstring in the EFL Cup tie with Middlesbrough in late August.

Meanwhile, Jordan Thomas and Tommi O'Reilly have both recovered from illness.
McCann said: "Obviously, the injuries has been a bit of a nightmare for us over the last three, four, five games. But we're starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel.
"Jamie Sterry and Jack Senior should be both available for Saturday, which is massive for us because, in my opinion, they're up there with the best in the division and their position.
"So it's nice to see them too and back in the training pitches all week.

"Tommi O'Reilly and Jordan Thomas have both recovered from illness.
"So they're good. Josh Clarke had an injection in his finger during the week, but he's fine. So he'll be back available.
"James Husband and Tom Nixon are very close. If they don't make Saturday, they'll definitely make next Tuesday at Luton.
"So we're starting to see a wee bit more progression off the pitch with the injured players, which hopefully gives us a wee bit more consistency, a little bit more in terms of what we wanted to do in the summer, what we recruited for and how we wanted to play."
