Doncaster Rovers boss reveals fury as York City manager explains reasons behind laboured display
DONCASTER Rovers manager Grant McCann was incensed by the failure of the match officials to punish Stockport County centre-back Mamadou Jobe for a perceived stamp on home player Bayley McCann in the hosts' 2-0 reverse.
Despite the 32nd-minute incident, referee Andrew Miller was unmoved, much to the incredulity of McCann, whose injury-hit side suffered their second successive League One loss.
Salt was rubbed into Rovers’ wounds by Jobe scoring County's opener on 53 minutes. Kyle Wootton soon added a second for the dominant visitors.
McCann, whose injury-hit side host Sheffield Wednesday this weekend, said: "Straight red card, how the fourth official doesn't say it, I'll never know. I've managed - well I've got myself - booked because of it. Because I could see it; the whole stadium, particularly with the fans behind me, could see it.

"When you're playing against one of the best teams in the division and certainly invested heavily in their squad, you need their decisions to go your way."
York City boss Scott Lindsey felt his players suffered from the exertions of Saturday’s trip to Newport in Tuesday's 1-1 draw with Accrington.
A 90th-minute Ollie Pearce goal extended the Minstermen’s fine unbeaten home league run to 24 games and cancelled out Josh Woods' opener.
Lindsey, whose side played with 10 men for over an hour at Newport, said: "We looked a bit leggy after Saturday’s game when we had to put a big shift in.
"Accrington are also a good side. They press you and probably ran a bit harder than we did.
"We were a bit off it, but showed character to keep going and get our goal."
