Verdict: Last day, last-minute woe for Rovers after the celebrations of last year as we crashed out of the Championship in the ‘92nd minute’. Among the bad luck, bad refereeing decisions, late goals against and inability to score, one point from the last 21 proved our downfall.

Best player: Chris Brown.

biggest disappointment: Harry Forrester’s bad luck with injuries.

Best moment: 2-1 win at Leeds. 28 passes before winner.

Lowest moment: When Birmingham scored at Bolton to send Rovers down.

Where has the season gone right/wrong: Better football, good loan signings, beating some of the top teams. Centre-half injuries, refereeing decisions, awful away record, no goals.

Advice to manager: Keep power and height that served us well in 12-13. Sign 20-goal man.

Best opposition team: Burnley.

Was the season a success or a failure: Ultimately a failure.
