The 24-year-old Scot has penned a two-year deal and is the club’s fifth signing of the summer following on from the captures of forward Andy Williams, goalkeeper Thorsten Stuckmann, defender Gary MacKenzie and midfielder Richard Chaplow.

Rovers had been in the market for a left-back to boost their defensive options, with Taylor-Sinclair now filling the void.

Taylor-Sinclair was signed by former Latics boss Uwe Rosler - now at Leeds - last summer from Patrick Thistle, having turned in a string of impressive performances for the Jags in 2013-14.

SPL giants Celtic were linked with Taylor-Sinclair during that season, but he found his opportunities wholly restricted in Lancashire last term and featured just once, as a substitute in the Capital One Cup clash with Burton Albion last August during an injury-hit campaign.

The Aberdeen-born player, described as an attacking full-back, spent three years with Patrick and was named in the SFA Team of the Year in 2012-13, having previously played for Montrose.
