ENGLAND edged out Wales in Lens this afternoon, keeping their Euro 2016 hopes alive with a 2-1 victory
Gareth Bale gave Wales a first-half lead with a free-kick that deceived Joe Hart in the England goal.
But two half-time substitutions from England boss Roy Hodgson proved pivotal, with both Jamie Vardy and Daniel Sturridge scoring.
Vardy levelled from inside the six yard box in the 55th minute before Liverpool striker Sturridge burst through the Wales defence to poke home from eight yards out with just seconds remaining.
