Ex-Leeds forward Luciano Becchio impressing on trial with Rotherham United
The Argentine, 32, who knows Redfearn from his time at Elland Road, is currently training with the Millers, having been handed a trial; he scored two goals in a practice game yesterday.
With forward Leon Best sidelined after surgery, a fully match-fit Becchio would potentially represent a welcome addition to his striking pool, according to Redfearn.

“We had a behind-closed doors game and he looked strong, but is perhaps a bit short of match fitness. But that is to be expected.
“But he has scored twice, which is a good habit to have and we know all about his qualities.
“I think we are getting him to a point now where he is in a good place and, obviously, if we can do something, that will be great.

“He has really got the bit between his teeth and he loves the game and has missed being out. He sees this as a realistic opportunity to kick on in his career.”
Meanwhile, Redfearn has confirmed that in-form Grant Ward will stay at the club for the rest of the season.
The Spurs loanee’s six-month deal is due to expire at the end of this month, but Redfearn has revealed the 21-year-old will be sticking around.

“Grant has been a fantastic loan signing for us and he was outstanding the other night against Brighton.
“We have given him that little bit more confidence and belief.”
