FA Cup round-up: Doncaster Rovers and Huddersfield Town crash out as Bradford City and Rotherham United advance
A round-up of FA Cup first round results for Yorkshire clubs such as Doncaster Rovers and Huddersfield Town
League One outfits Doncaster Rovers and Huddersfield Town both slipped on banana skins in the third round of the FA Cup.
Doncaster visited fifth-tier Kidderminster Harriers and fell to a 3-0 defeat, with Lewis Walker, Maz Kouhyar and David Davis netting for the hosts. It was another horror result for Grant McCann’s men, who lost 6-1 to Milton Keynes Dons last weekend.
League One table-toppers Huddersfield, meanwhile, were beaten 2-1 by fourth-tier Exeter City. Ibane Bowat cancelled out Jack Taylor’s opener but Charlie Cummins grabbed a winner for the Grecians in the 81st minute.

Bradford City steered comfortably clear of a humilating exit, dispatching of National League North side Marine with ease. Nick Powell and Adam Phillips notched braces and Matthew Pennington, Will Swan and George Lapslie struck in a 7-0 win for the Bantams.
Barnsley were 7-2 victors over fifth-tier Aldershot Town and were helped on their way by a Cameron McGeehan hat-trick. Fourth-tier Rotherham United scored an upset, eliminating League One side Bromley with a 2-0 win, and York City hammered Northampton Town 4-0.
Seventh-tier Guiseley edged past Sutton United to book a place in the second round but there was no progression for Harrogate Town and FC Halifax Town of the National League, who lost to AFC Fylde and Cheltenham Town respectively.
The second round draw will take place on Monday (November 9), at approximately 6:45pm.
