football god was on our side – rosler
In what has been a season of amazing upsets in cup competitions, Rosler’s Bees almost topped them all in yesterday’s lunchtime kick-off after pushing the holders and European champions to the brink of a humiliating defeat at Griffin Park.
The League One high-fliers twice led Chelsea, but were denied by Fernando Torres’s late equaliser, setting up a replay at Stamford Bridge next month.

But Brentford boss Rosler insisted: “We deserved that luck from what we have put in compared to what Chelsea put in over the 90 minutes.
“There is a football god up there and he is on our side.”
Blues manager Rafael Benitez bemoaned the biggest fixture pile-up in the club’s history.
“We play one game every three days so, if you understand, how can you train the day after? How can you train the day before games?” he said.
