Former Huddersfield Town star 'expected' to leave AFC Bournemouth in final days of summer transfer window

Former Huddersfield Town midfielder Philip Billing is reportedly expected to leave AFC Bournemouth in the final days of the summer transfer window.

The 28-year-old made a cameo from the bench in Bournemouth’s season opener, but was absent for the club’s second fixture of the campaign.

He has been at the Vitality Stadium for five years but could reportedly seek pastures new in the coming days.

According to talkSPORT’s Alex Crook, Billing is expected to be on the move before the deadline slams shut.

While speculation regarding potential suitors has been minimal, the Denmark-capped midfielder would arguably be a coup for a raft of Championship clubs.

He was given his senior breakthrough at Huddersfield, making an early impression with his all-action displays in the centre of midfield. Bournemouth came calling in 2019, luring him to the club for a fee reported to be worth £15m.

Billing is just eight appearances shy of the 200 mark for Bournemouth, having been a regular for the Cherries in both the Championship and the Premier League.
