FT Bury 1 Sheffield United 0: Blades suffer away loss

Nigel Adkins’s side could have cut the gap on sixth-placed Millwall to just two points if they could have beat Bury, as the Lions lost to Scunthorpe.

But fresh from beating Doncaster Rovers, the Blades were trailing on 27 minutes, when Craig Jones netted.

Despite the introduction of striker Billy Sharp at half-time, United could not conjure up an equaliser.
