Gateshead 3 Guiseley 0: Bowman’s brace sees Guiseley return home empty-handed
The first half saw the hosts have the better chances, with Guiseley making a number of important blocks with the likes of Jake Lawlor and Will Hatfield putting their bodies in the way to prevent home efforts.
Jon Shaw went close when he was able to make contact with a cross, but his effort was wide of Steven Drench’s goal.

Hide AdGuiseley though had a chance of their own, when Oliver Norburn fired a well-hit effort from 30 yards out but his effort was saved by Sam Russell.
The second half started with Gateshead attacking from the off and they took the lead when Rob Ramshaw passed to Bowman, who finished calmly.
Gateshead doubled their lead when CJ Hamilton’s effort was well saved by Drench but Bowman was in the right place to get his second.
Hatfield saw his header cleared off the line and Nicky Boshell saw a free-kick go wide before Danny Johnson added a third for the hosts.
