Barnet 3 FC Halifax Town 0: Dismal Halifax point way ahead for Aspin
Goals from Mauro Vilhete, John Akinde and Curtis Weston secured a deserved win for the hosts, who took a step closer to the Conference title.
Aspin said: “We conceded a bad goal in the first couple of minutes and we never recovered.

“We didn’t offer anything in terms of a threat, we offered nothing in terms of commitment, we lost all of the second balls and we got out-fought.
“They could do, virtually, what they wanted. I am very, very disappointed but it shows me, in a good way, the job that I have for next season.
“We have to make changes. Let’s not kid ourselves; we’re a million miles away from the play-offs as we’re not good enough.”

Hide AdVilhete’s goal came in a blistering start when he converted the impressive Elliott Johnson’s cross, although Halifax held on until just before half-time before conceding again, Conor Clifford cracking a 30-yard shot against the bar.
A sloppy back-pass by Scott McManus let in striker John Akinde, who calmly slotted past Matt Glennon for his 31st league goal of the season.
Any lingering hopes Town had of a comeback were ended when a superb jinking run by Andy Yiadom was followed up by Weston slotting in his low cross six yards out.
