Darren Kelly chosen to succeed Aspin at FC Halifax Town
The 36-year-old Northern Irishman, sacked by Oldham Athletic last month, succeeds Neil Aspin at The Shay.
Kelly has a big task ahead of him, Town having endured an awful start to the season that has yielded just one win. His first game in charge will be at home to Cheltenham Town on Saturday.

Halifax have taken two points from three games since Aspin was dismissed in the wake of a 2-1 sderby defeat at Guiseley.
Chairman David Bosomworth said: “Darren and Jim are both highly regarded within the game and we are confident they have the drive and ambition to take this club forward.”
Kelly joins on terms until the end of the season with the club having an option to extend.
