WITH FC Halifax Town set to sit down tomorrow and sift through the applications that have come in following the departure of Darren Kelly, the focus returns to the pitch.

A trip to Gateshead lays in wait for the bottom club and the North East side will fancy their chances of adding to the Shaymen’s problems.

Halifax have lost seven of their last eight league games during a run that has also seen 30 goals conceded.

It is a shocking record and one that led to Kelly, who oversaw seven of those matches, to be shown the door.

The Town board hope to make an appointment in the near future and would surely welcome a much needed change of fortune against gateshead today.

One man who believes that can happen is defender James Bolton.

He said: “With the manager going as well, it is a difficult time.

“A lot of people will write us off so I think we can go there and just try and express ourselves.”
