Play-offs are still our target, insists Aspin

Manager Neil Aspin insists FC Halifax Town can remain in Vanarama Conference play-off contention, but only if the flurry of recent draws can be turned into wins.

The Shaymen host Gateshead tonight on the back of a seven-game winless run that has yielded six draws.

It has left the Yorkshire side six points adrift of the top five, though they do have two games in hand.

Aspin said: “When you draw you tend to write off your chances and we haven’t moved forward with the four draws we have had in a row, but we are still in contention.”
