The hosts' first-half display was up there with one of their very best this season and there were strong performances across the park as Simon Weaver's men controlled the game for long periods.
But, which of the Town players shone the brightest?

5.
Warren Burrell 7. A tidy, solid defensive performance in the left-back position, though he was unaware that Justin Shaibu had stolen in behind him at the back post when the Wood attacker almost levelled matters late on.

6.
George Thomson 8. The Town right-winger looked a real threat during the opening 45. So neat in possession, he showcased what a technically-gifted footballer he is before fading slightly after the break. It was his corner that provided the winner, however.

7.
Josh Falkingham 9. The Harrogate skipper was at his best, pulling the strings, dictating the pace and organising his troops. Led from the front and once again demonstrated that when he plays well, Town play well.

8.
Jack Diamond 8. Was near-enough unplayable during the first 45. Caused the visiting defence, and Kane Smith in particular, all kinds of problems with his direct running. Offered less after the interval, but still provided a useful outlet.
